VIII Prime Boys to play with Paandoves in the finals

Kumari Club, 24th July,2008- The second semi final match was played between the VIII Prime Boys and the BBA 6th team in which VIII Prime Boys won the match by 1-0 with the goal of Ramesh KC in the extra time.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw. Both the teams played defensive game in the first half. The only opportunity in the half was the shot from Sunil Bhattarai of the BBA 6th whose shot was just over the bar. The second half was expected to be more competitive. Ram of the winning team was booked for his tackle in the 1st minute of the second half. A minute later Bidur of the BBA 6th team was also booked.

Both the teams created some good opportunities for goal but failed to capitalize on it. The long range shot from Rakesh of the VIII Prime Boys in the 27th minutes was blocked by the defender of the BBA 6th, Nitesh. A minute later, Nitesh again saved two consecutive shots from Rajan and Ramesh. No teams could take a lead in the second half too and the game moved to extra time.

It was likely to head the game towards the penalty shot out. But, Ramesh KC(VIII Prime Boys) gave his team a lead in the 8th minute of the extra time. After conceding the goal,BBA 6th attacked to score an equalizer. But they could not score any goal and lost the match.

VIII Prime Boys will play with Paandoves in the Finals.
