Kumari Club, July 18, 2008- Prime Teacher & Staff Team and Indigious Team(BBA 4th “A”) move up to the next round. They beat Prime Canteen Team and Crusaders respectively by a goal to a nil.
The first match on the day was played between Prime Teacher & Staff Team a
ndPrime Canteen Team. In the 5th min, the defender of Prime Canteen made a hand ball and referee decided to give the free-kick near the post since, there is no rule of penalty during hand ball. Krishna(Prime Canteen Team) deflected the free-kicked ball by Bikash Shahi(Teachers Team) in their own post which was a silly mistake that turnover the game. Prime Canteen tried to come back in the 18 min in which Michael tried a shot that hit the left bar and came out.
When the first half ended Teachers team were on a lead of a goal. Prime Canteen made an attack on two on 1 in which Nima tried a shot which again hit the post and came out Hmmm……Lucky Teachers Team
The game ended 1-0.
The second game was played between the Crusaders (BBA 8th) and
the Indigenous (BBA 4th). Both the team started aggressively. Bishal of the Crusaders team hit the post in the 9th min. In the 16th min, the shot from Bishal was blocked by the defender. Both the teams were unable to score in the first half. They tried a lot of shots to take a lead in the game but they can’t. The first half ended in a goal less draw.
The Indigenous team played well in the second half. They made a consecutive attack on the Crusaders. Sudeep of the Indigenous team hit the post in the 26th min. Another opportunity for the Indigenous team was created in the 29th min in which the shot from Rakesh was denied by the defender of the Crusaders team, Rishav Raj Singh. Indigenous team took the lead in the 35th min with a spectacular goal from Rakesh Maharjan. Both the teams were unable to score any goal after that and Indigenous won the match 1-0.
